I learnt to dive because I wanted to see sharks!
I completed open water course in the UK quickly followed by my advanced open water on my first of many trips to Egypt. It was on this first diving holiday that I decided I wanted to be an instructor and help others see the wonders of the ocean.
I gained all the rest of my qualifications in the UK and worked here as an instructor for many years, before deciding to live the dream and moved to Sharm el Sheikh as an instructor and guide at Millenium divers.
I came back to the UK briefly , where I met Jo and we moved to Donsol, Philippines. Together we established the first PADI dive centre in the south of Luzon.
Working here sparked my love for macro life and Mantas.
We worked closely with the WWF on conservation projects and Andrea Marshall to establish Manta interaction guidelines .
After taking the dive centre as far as we could and Jo wanting to do her IDC, we moved to Malapascua where I worked at Evolution dive centre, and TSD with Jo.
Thresher sharks in the morning, Devil rays and giant pelagic Mantas in the afternoon …. what more could you want?
My diving adventures have taken me from UK costal waters to Caribbean, the Canary islands, The Red sea, Maldives, Indonesia, Malaysia and the Philippines
