PADI Assistant Instructor

The Assistant Instructor course is the first part of the full Instructor Development Course (IDC).

This course concentrates on the PADI system of diver education and developing presentation skills thus enabling you to pass your knowledge and experience on to student divers. It covers use of PADI materials, PADI Standards, how to present in a concise and clear manner and also gives an introduction into teaching confined water and open water sessions.

Upon successful completion of this course you can conduct knowledge development presentations, evaluate surface skills for Open Water Diver students, teach the Peak Performance Buoyancy Specialty and Project AWARE Specialty courses.

You can now move on to the second part of the IDC, the PADI OWSI Course.
