During the EFR Instructor course, you will build on the skills you learned as an Emergency Responder and focus on developing your instructional skills to teach this course.
The course provides you with the extra skills required to teach Emergency First Response Primary Care (CPR), Secondary Care (First Aid) and Care for Children and Infants programs.
Using independent study, multi-media and practical applications you will learn the procedures for teaching this course.
The EFR Instructor course covers specific goals and performance requirements for the Primary Care, Secondary Care and Care for Children courses, along with instructions on how to structure learning, the requirements of performance based training, and your role as the instructor in the learning environment.
You also learn how to motivate students, present course content, become proficient in developing hands on skills during student practice sessions and how to present effective scenarios to aid student learning.
This course is now available to everyone aged 18 or over provided they have passed the EFR Primary and Secondary Care Course or an equivalent First Aid qualification.
This course is a required qualification to become a PADI Open Water Instructor.
