Dive into the PADI Open Water Diver course and be one in a million, that is approximately the number of new divers trained each year by PADI.
As a certified PADI Open Water Diver you have the freedom to dive with a buddy independent of a professional. If you already tried a PADI Discover Scuba Diving experience or are PADI Scuba Diver certified, check with your instructor to see how credit from these courses may apply to the PADI Open Water program.
Virtually anyone who is in good health, reasonably fit, and comfortable in the water can become a PADI Open Water Diver. You must be older than the age of 14 to begin the PADI Open Water Diver program.
For those of you who are not above the age of 14 and would like to participate in the PADI Open Water Diver Program, then the PADI Junior Open Water Diver program is available, if you are between 10 and 14 or have a child between these ages.
The course consists of:
5 x Self study and / or classroom based academic sessions to teach you some of the do and do nots of scuba diving.
5 x Pool or confined water sessions to build confidence and skill levels, remember these skills are in place to make you a better and safer diver.
4 x Open water dives to repeat some of the skills completed in the pool or confined water.
